Quick Start Guide

Are you looking to create an event on Ticksi but aren't sure where to start?  Follow this simple guide and we'll have you up and running in the blink of an eye.

Create your Account

First, you'll need an account with us.  It's completely free, and your data is held securely at all times.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click the My Account button at the top of the screen.
    If you'd like to keep this guide open you can right-click the button and choose 'Open in New Tab'.
  2. If you've registered before, then enter your login details. If not, click Create Account.
  3. Fill in the form with your information. Only the fields with a star next to them are required.
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

That's it, bravo!  You've just created your account and will now be taken to the My Account area where you can create and manage your events.

Create an Event

To the left of the screen you'll see a menu, and at the top you'll see My Events. This is where all your events live, and where you can add, edit and archive them. Let's create a new event.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click on My Events from the left-side menu.
  2. Click Create New at the top of the screen.
  3. Complete the mandatory fields: TitleStart Date and End Date, Address (multiple fields)
  4. We recommend you add a description of the event to the Body field.
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

Create a Ticket

After you click Save on the event you'll be automatically taken to create a Ticket. An event must have at least one Ticket.

Follow these steps:

  1. Enter a Title for the ticket (e.g. General Admission)
  2. If there is a fee to attend the event, enter the ticket Price in the field under Pricing. If the event is free to attend, leave the price as zero.
  3. Under the Stock Control section, enter the total capacity of the event in the Current Stock field. This will ensure your event doesn't become overbooked.
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

Add an Image

This is completely optional, but if you've got a bit of time spare then it will really help to attract attention to your event and sell more tickets. Just click into your event then follow these steps:

  1. From the right-side menu, click Manage Media.
  2. Click Add Media at the top of the screen.
  3. Click the Select Files area and select your image(s), or drag and drop from a folder to this area.
  4. Once the files have uploaded, click the Next button at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click the red flashing Crop button at the top-right of the image thumbnail.
  6. Click and drag your image so that it fits as best as possible within the frame - everything outside of the frame will be cropped away.
  7. When you're happy with the way the image looks, click Process at the bottom of the screen.

Hint: The perfect image size for an event is 600 pixels wide and 450 pixels high. JPG or PNG formats usually work best.

Need to sell multiple tickets?

No problem! Just click into your event then follow these steps:

  • From the right-side menu, click through: Linked ToLink MoreTickets > Create New
  • Enter the Title of the ticket (e.g. VIP Admission)
  • Enter the Price.
  • Click Save at the bottom of the screen, and you're done!
